HOSA–Future Health Professionals is an international, student‑led career and technical organization that prepares students for success in the health and medical fields. Recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, HOSA is designed for students who are interested in pursuing careers across the healthcare industry and offers meaningful opportunities to build leadership, technical skills, and professional confidence.
HOSA’s mission is to empower Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience. Its purpose is to support students through programs that build competence, motivation, awareness, and recognition as part of the Health Science Education curriculum.
Members participate in hands‑on learning, competitive events, community service, and networking with healthcare professionals. These experiences help students explore career pathways, strengthen essential workplace skills, and contribute positively to the quality of healthcare in their communities.
Since its founding in 1976, HOSA has grown into one of the largest organizations for aspiring health professionals, now including over 300,000 members across the United States and multiple countries worldwide.
