Important ACBOE Continuity Plan

Using the guidance from the ALSDE LEA Continuity Plan, seniors are considered graduated. The 3rd 9 week grades are final and completed for the year.  Additional grades are not calculated.  Please read the information below:

·    Seniors who are on track to graduate and in good standing as of the third nine weeks reporting period will be considered “as meeting graduation requirements” for the state of Alabama.  No assignments are required!  Students cannot complete assignments to boost their course averages.  At this time, we are NOT releasing averages.  However, in order to receive college credit, seniors enrolled in dual enrollment classes must complete assignments online through Central Alabama Community College or Trenholm State Community College as assigned by their instructor in Moodle or Canvas.

·   Underclassmen in Good Standing:  in good standing will complete assignments for the purpose of enrichment and to prevent possible regression.  Assignments will be graded and teachers will be providing feedback.  Grades will not be posted into INOW.  However, in order to receive college credit, underclassmen enrolled in dual enrollment classes must complete assignments online through Central Alabama Community College or Trenholm State Community College as assigned by their instructor in Moodle or Canvas.

·    Seniors and Underclassmen who have not met grade/graduation requirements (NOT PASSING):  These students will be contacted and treated as ACTC credit recovery (Credit through Completion of Instruction). In accordance with ALSDE guidelines, teachers will work more extensively with these students over the next two months.

Announcement Regarding School Closing
The ACTC is closed March 19 through April 3 and will move to alternative learning after this. Dual enrollment students need to login to their portal (Canvas or Moodle) and their email for updates regarding e-learning assignments. Central Alabama Community College and Trenholm State Community College will transition to an online learning environment through April 3.

The Autauga County Technology Center offers a diverse curriculum designed to prepare students for entry into the workforce or for further study in the postsecondary setting.  The courses provide rigor and relevance for students by linking school-based learning with career-related experiences.  Autauga County's Career and Technical Education Program includes sixteen career clusters.
